About us

our journey

A brief introduction to our successful journey from 2020.

Our story starts here

Salasar Baba Thakur Gauvansh Chikitsalaya was established by Rohtash Kadian with the sole aim of helping injured and abandoned cows that are left to die on the streets. Rohtash had his own transport business before starting this animal hospital.

Rohatsh mentions how he had visited many gaushalas that were doing commendable work of taking care of the gau matas and nandis, but he hardly saw any fully-equipped hospital for the injured and diseased animals.

“I had always wanted to do something for them and finally when my son told me that herwas that I take care of these innocent animals, I knew that this is how I will give back to society. These cows are no less than mothers to us and it is heartbreaking to see them going through such pain,” – Rohtash Dubaldhan, Founder, Salasar Baba Thakur Seva Samiti.

Rohtash

Rohtash with his family consisting of his wife & both the sons, Monu & Rahul looks after the daily affairs of the Gaushala & Chikitsalaya.

Rohtash talks of how these animals are subjected to terrible cruelties – some throw acid on the cows, while others deliberately put their sheds on fire. On a daily basis, they receive about 15-20 calls of rescue, and not one of them goes unanswered. Rohtash adds that the accident cases increase during the rainy season as well.

“We have around 4 ambulances and a dedicated team of 5 veterinary doctors who work day and night to give these cows a comfortable life. We have performed around 400+ surgeries that include C-section, hernia removal, horn cancer, amputation, or taking out iron and plastic from the stomach of the cows.

In the past years, Dubaldhan Gaushalaanimal hospital has rescued and treated around 1500+ cows and other animals like peacocks, monkeys, and nilgais in need. They are a safe home to 500+ cows out of which hundreds are paralysed and need constant care. These cows are in no condition to live on the roads and the dedicated staff does everything they can to keep them comfortable.

Here’s how you can make a difference

“We have always been fortunate to receive donations and support from our well-wishers but the need is ever-increasing. More and more injured cows are left stranded on the roads with no one to care for them. We want to help each one of them. My dream is to give the best facilities to these injured animals and for that, I would need your support.”

Salasar Baba Thakur Seva Samiti Dubaldhan is requesting you to donate medicines and surgical equipment so that they can save many more animals in danger. With every small donation, you will be helping the cause of an injured cow in need of support.
